California Privacy Request
Effective 1 October 2026
California residents can use this page to exercise their rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.
CenterNode does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. This site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking technologies. There is accordingly nothing to opt out of, and no sensitive personal information use to limit. The rights that do apply are set out below.
1. What you can ask for
- Right to know. The categories of personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, the categories we disclosed, and the categories of third parties we disclosed it to. This is a separate right from the right to access, and you can ask for either or both.
- Right to access. A copy of the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct. Correction of personal information that is inaccurate.
- Right to delete. Deletion of personal information we hold about you.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do neither, so there is nothing to opt out of and no sensitive personal information use to limit.
- Right against discrimination. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or give you a different quality of service because you made a request.
2. Limits on these rights
Some information cannot be deleted or disclosed. Two exemptions matter most here:
- Regulatory recordkeeping. As a relying adviser under an SEC-registered investment adviser, we are required to retain certain books and records for periods fixed by the Investment Advisers Act. We cannot delete records we are required to keep.
- Gramm-Leach-Bliley. Personal information collected, processed, sold or disclosed under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and Regulation S-P is exempt from the CCPA. Much of what a financial institution holds falls into this category.
Where an exemption applies to part of a request, we will tell you which part and why, and we will action the remainder.
The right to know and the right to access are each limited to twice in a twelve-month period. That cap does not apply to requests to correct, delete, opt out, or limit.
3. How this works
- Submit the form below, email privacy@forestroadco.com with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line, or call +1 302-265-0167.
- We confirm receipt within 10 business days and tell you how we will handle it.
- We verify your identity. For most requests this means matching the information you give us against what we hold. For a request for specific pieces of personal information the standard is higher and we may need more.
- We respond within 45 calendar days. If we need longer we will tell you why, and may extend by a further 45 days.
There is no charge, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will say so before doing anything.
4. Authorised agents
You may use an authorised agent. We will need written permission signed by you, and we may still contact you directly to confirm. An agent acting under a valid power of attorney may submit proof of that instead. If the agent is a business, it must be registered with the California Secretary of State.
